It has nothing to do with screen resolutions.

In the Basic style, you can set the display width of your forum in the _style_config.scss configuration file :

$max-width: none! Default; // Maximum width. Set to "none" to make layout fluid
    change to:

$max-width: 1152px! default; // Maximum width. Set to "none" to make layout fluid
for a fixed width of 1152 pixels.

Do not forget to recompile the style after modification.

Is it advisable to make this change or leave it by default?
    What is your recommendation?

No particular recommendation, it's according to your preferences.

If you want to use forum on wide resolution, it means you want forum to be as wide as possible, otherwise you'd scale down browser window.

Limiting width doesn't make sense. Its a personal preference of viewer.

Though I think viewing forum on such high resolution would be very uncomfortable. I always limit browser window to about 2/5 of screen width (display resolution is 2560 x 1440) because otherwise content becomes too wide to read comfortably.

Then I think it is advisable to leave the configuration by default.

Thank you very much for your help.
